Wow I Havn't Updated This For Some Looong Time!

Errrrrm yeah Im back....and still alive..well last time I checked I was still alive... hardy haa haa "cough",

Yah so anyway I have applied for three uni's now rather than the one I intended to "even Im not stubborn enough to hold that plan for long" and now Im in a constant state of torment waiting for replies "come on people you know you want to give a place...you would be so lucky to have such an amazing student like my"

I am going to World Youth Day in Madrid though.....I know that for sure now! Faith filled joy and sun stroke are garuanteed.... for me anyway as no matter how much sun cream I put on I alwasys get burnt... hmmmm

So exciting and nervous breakdown inducing times are upon us!!

And It's Christmas....when Chirst was born for us.....it doesn't gte more awesome that !

In doubt that anyone reads this..but oh well lets go for it anyway !!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The Power Of A United And Moral Voice

Through a number of activites and experiences I have been caught up in recently, I have discovered that when the media or secular agenda uses some misunderstood or more often simply false information to launch an attack upon the Church, it is surprising just how effective an unified and powerful moral battle can be! You see we are in times of total war, the Church is being attacked from all sides by several different agendas, we must fight for the Church and be prepared to give our all to defend our Church, Jesus Christ and his Vicar on earth.

I am a Papist and all my fellow Papists, who cling tightly to the traditional teachings of the Church and fight in the public and private spheres to defend these truthes, have difficult times ahead. Have you seen the way people treat the Holy Father, and how they treated the once Cardinal Ratzinger, the Guardain of the Faith...the man who fought with all his energy to protect the Church from heresy and the faith of the people from false teachings broadcast by so many. We must see this man's example and follow it, he gave up his dream job of being a proffesor of theology in German universitys and his love of study to become Arch-Bishop then Cardinal then Pope, all of which was against his chosen path for his life! So why did he do it? He did it because the truth needs to be broadcast loudly and proudly to all the nations!

As we know he suffered greatly through this choice, he had to leave his beloved Bavaria and move to Rome, his kind and loving charecter so clear to his friends and supporters was transformed by the secular and libel agendas into the entirely false image of the "panzer kardinal", he wished to leave Rome and go back to Germany and his brother but instead accepted the election to the Throne of Peter.

If he can give his all to protect, defend and procliam the truth that is taught by the Church, then we can give up a day to go to a rally, or sacrafice our comfort to defend the Church. We pray that no more literal martyrdom happens, but we can if called to it give whats know as white martyrdom, which can include anything from persection, insult and hard times to anything they can throw at us, which of course is endured with love and joy of being willing to suffer for Christ and His Church ! Christ is worth is, the Chuch is worth it so my fellow Papists do not be afraid to proclaim loudly and proudly the truth, and the teachings of the Church, go ahead into the battle with head held high, the battle is long and will be long..but victory is certain because the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the Church

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGTH UNTIL THE END AND RUN THE RACE TO THE FINISH! IT IS AND WILL BE WOTH IT!

College Is Almost Over....Time Off And Lots To Do :)

College is finally almost over until September, which means that after two more three hours lessons I will be free for nearly eight weeks! Eight weeks to do the things I want to do, to do more work on my paper for the ERS, to spend time with friends and family and generally enjoy some time off.

In two weeks time I will be on holiday with my mum., enjoying sun, sand and sea! A few excursions and interesting places to visit.

Then in September although I go back to college on the 13th September, the Pope's visit will begin on the 16th September (lots to do still, not that I am on the frontline of organisation lol) but we all need to do our bit to make sure this goes as well as it possibly can and goes off with no issues. Hopefully I will be going to one of the events but sadly that is looking like it will be harder and harder to achieve..hmmmm any one have ideas (ones that will not get me arrested by Swiss Guard please lol)

IT IS HOT HOT HOT

We have had about two weeks of hot weather and sunshine! ITS A MIRACLE!!!!!!

But its been too hot (yes I always moan but I have a good reason! So Im too hot to blog...I'll be back when it cools down.. :D

That is the title of the paper I am writing for the bursary at the Essex Recusant Society, if mine gets chosen from all the papers that come out of the Diocese, it will be published in the Journal and I will get £100 worth of book vouchers! I already have two people I would like to ask questions about the diocese, both are busy and hard to get an appointment with...sooo... I'll let you know how that goes lol.

Monday night we are having a party at the Church for the 5oth Anniversary, which should be fun lol :P

Fun Times At St.Albans Parish

Today was our Bishop Thomas McMahon's pastoral visit to the Parish (the look of panic on Fr.James' face was pricless)

First of all he came into the Church from the back, unlike Fr.James who comes from the side..so none of us knew he was there..resulting in sudden scramble to stand up. Then loads of things went wrong and all the time he was blissfully unaware of the mayhem that was happening..how he didnt notice I dont know lol :P

In the middle of his homily I hit my shoulder on the pew and almost cried..lol, my phone which was on silent suddenly starting virbrating and I almost died of shock..then my trousers almost fell down..So things went well today :O


We are safe to continue in our own bizarre and hypo manner for another 3 years until we need to pull the act together again :D

Im back anyway and have experienced many strange things in recent times. I have had exams recently and have more soon so I have been revising and sorting myself out for them.

Thursday 3rd June - Saturday 5th June, is "Spirit in the City" a festival of Faith in the West End which has been and will fun. Im going to my friends tomorow for some fun and chilling around, generally acting like fools

I have nothing more to say for now, but I will start doing this blogging more often..I just have a terrible memory and struggle to remember to do it ... :0

Im Back From Devon!!!!

Im Back From 3 Days whizzing about the country!

Tuesday we got the 10.00am Great Western Train from Paddington to Exeter St.Davids...to get the 1.25pm bus to Chagford (the nest bus wasnt until 5.00pm :O) Well basically the train got held up and we only just caught the stupid bus!!! We got to Chagford and then walked up Meldon (which is a huge hill) :O went back had dinner and collapsed into my (new and no longer lumpy) bed YAY

Wednesday: Got up (to my strong protests :P) had breakfast and then walked 3 1/2 miles of Kestor and 3 1/2 miles back..so 7 miles = me well knackered. Then lounged in my room until dinner (then met some people we know in the pub...I drank orange juice in case you wondered lol) fell back into bed.

Thursday: Had Breakfast...bimbled about the village for 4 hours talking to people, finishing some business then got the 12.00am bus to Exeter...train to Paddington, tube home and here I am blogging about such excitment ...hmmm lol :]

Easter Holidays YAAAAAY

Its finally the Easter holidays!!! Im free from college for 2 weeks!!! No more teachers ...... :P

Dear Brother Bishops,
I welcome all of you on your ad Limina visit to Rome, where you have come to venerate the
tombs of the Apostles Peter and Paul. I thank you for the kind words that Archbishop Vincent
Nichols has addressed to me on your behalf, and I offer you my warmest good wishes and
prayers for yourselves and all the faithful of England and Wales entrusted to your pastoral
care. Your visit to Rome strengthens the bonds of communion between the Catholic
community in your country and the Apostolic See, a communion that sustained your people’s
faith for centuries, and today provides fresh energies for renewal and evangelization. Even
amid the pressures of a secular age, there are many signs of living faith and devotion among
the Catholics of England and Wales. I am thinking, for example, of the enthusiasm
generated by the visit of the relics of Saint Thérèse, the interest aroused by the prospect of
Cardinal Newman’s beatification, and the eagerness of young people to take part in
pilgrimages and World Youth Days. On the occasion of my forthcoming Apostolic Visit to
Great Britain, I shall be able to witness that faith for myself and, as Successor of Peter, to
strengthen and confirm it. During the months of preparation that lie ahead, be sure to
encourage the Catholics of England and Wales in their devotion, and assure them that the
Pope constantly remembers them in his prayers and holds them in his heart.
Your country is well known for its firm commitment to equality of opportunity for all members
of society. Yet as you have rightly pointed out, the effect of some of the legislation designed
to achieve this goal has been to impose unjust limitations on the freedom of religious
communities to act in accordance with their beliefs. In some respects it actually violates the
natural law upon which the equality of all human beings is grounded and by which it is
guaranteed. I urge you as Pastors to ensure that the Church’s moral teaching be always
presented in its entirety and convincingly defended. Fidelity to the Gospel in no way restricts
the freedom of others – on the contrary, it serves their freedom by offering them the truth.
Continue to insist upon your right to participate in national debate through respectful
dialogue with other elements in society. In doing so, you are not only maintaining longstanding
British traditions of freedom of expression and honest exchange of opinion, but you
are actually giving voice to the convictions of many people who lack the means to express
them: when so many of the population claim to be Christian, how could anyone dispute the
Gospel’s right to be heard?
If the full saving message of Christ is to be presented effectively and convincingly to the
world, the Catholic community in your country needs to speak with a united voice. This
requires not only you, the Bishops, but also priests, teachers, catechists, writers – in short all
who are engaged in the task of communicating the Gospel – to be attentive to the
promptings of the Spirit, who guides the whole Church into the truth, gathers her into unity
and inspires her with missionary zeal.
Make it your concern, then, to draw on the considerable gifts of the lay faithful in England
and Wales and see that they are equipped to hand on the faith to new generations
comprehensively, accurately, and with a keen awareness that in so doing they are playing
their part in the Church’s mission. In a social milieu that encourages the expression of a
variety of opinions on every question that arises, it is important to recognize dissent for what
it is, and not to mistake it for a mature contribution to a balanced and wide-ranging debate. It
is the truth revealed through Scripture and Tradition and articulated by the Church’s
Magisterium that sets us free. Cardinal Newman realized this, and he left us an outstanding
example of faithfulness to revealed truth by following that "kindly light" wherever it led him,
even at considerable personal cost. Great writers and communicators of his stature and
integrity are needed in the Church today, and it is my hope that devotion to him will inspire
many to follow in his footsteps.
Much attention has rightly been given to Newman’s scholarship and to his extensive writings,
but it is important to remember that he saw himself first and foremost as a priest. In this
Annus Sacerdotalis, I urge you to hold up to your priests his example of dedication to prayer,
pastoral sensitivity towards the needs of his flock, and passion for preaching the Gospel.
You yourselves should set a similar example. Be close to your priests, and rekindle their
sense of the enormous privilege and joy of standing among the people of God as alter
Christus. In Newman’s words, "Christ’s priests have no priesthood but His … what they do,
He does; when they baptize, He is baptizing; when they bless, He is blessing" (Parochial
and Plain Sermons, VI 242). Indeed, since the priest plays an irreplaceable role in the life of
the Church, spare no effort in encouraging priestly vocations and emphasizing to the faithful
the true meaning and necessity of the priesthood. Encourage the lay faithful to express their
appreciation of the priests who serve them, and to recognize the difficulties they sometimes
face on account of their declining numbers and increasing pressures. The support and
understanding of the faithful is particularly necessary when parishes have to be merged or
Mass times adjusted. Help them to avoid any temptation to view the clergy as mere
functionaries but rather to rejoice in the gift of priestly ministry, a gift that can never be taken
for granted.
Ecumenical and inter-religious dialogue assume great importance in England and Wales,
given the varied demographic profile of the population. As well as encouraging you in your
important work in these areas, I would ask you to be generous in implementing the
provisions of the Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus, so as to assist those groups
of Anglicans who wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. I am convinced
that, if given a warm and open-hearted welcome, such groups will be a blessing for the
entire Church.
With these thoughts, I commend your apostolic ministry to the intercession of Saint David,
Saint George and all the saints and martyrs of England and Wales. May Our Lady of
Walsingham guide and protect you always. To all of you, and to the priests, religious and lay
faithful of your country, I cordially impart my Apostolic Blessing as a pledge of peace and joy
in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Non Church, News/Wierdness

I was walking home from college last thursday, minding my own business probably thinking about what I was going to have for lunch, and I heard footsteps behind me so I turned around to see who was there. No one was there, I was a abit freaked out but kept walking and could still hear these footsteps right behind me......After a while I gave up on being dignified and ran home, I am not walking around there in the dark/on my own again, I dont know what it was....and I don't really want to know lol. SCARY TIMES

I bet theres loads of news to share, let me think hmmm..........

The Government has been defeated in planned legislation which would have restricted the Churches' ability to deny jobs to peoples who's lifestyle is in contradication to the teachings of the Church" I also think that this legislation is the one that would have forced the Church to allow women priests, HMMM.

"Age no barrier as Pope tells Bertone to continue in role" Although he has reached his 75th birthday and handed his letter of resignation to the pontiff, which was not excepted YAY, Cardinal Bertone :D Card. Bertone was a consultor at the CDF (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith) in 1995!!!! And became Secretary of State in 2006!!! No limit was set on the amount of time Card.Bertone was going to continue, so it seems that they will continue working with each other for as long as health and life allows (hopefully a long time more :D)

Non Catholics, all Cardinals are meant to retire when they reach the age of 75, but the Pope can refuse to let them retire, Pope John Paul II refused to allow Card.Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict) to retire 3 times!!

Fellow Catholics, we know the deal lol :D

I Have Lost My Voice

I have lost my voice today, so I was not able to share my sparkling wit and charm with the people at college today, they must be devesatated lol.

The thing is I have to take part in a mock trail tomorow at college sooooo they have a witness that can say very little lol.

Thats all I can think of now...........I will be back haahaahaah lol

Sunday In The Life Of Papist Peaz

First of all Saturday night I had only 4 hours sleep so have been really tired all day, but thats another story.





The first thing we did today was to go to Mass, but today we went to Holy Family Parish in Dagenham, because we went to Rome with them in October and thought we would go and see them, just to tell them that they can't get rid of me that easily. So we (the congragation) went to recieve Holy Communion, I knelt to recieve as is my habit and the priest Fr.John just looked at me and asked if I was recieving so I just nodded(but I thought to myself well im not just kneelinh here, jus to do it???) After Mass we went to see Fr.Stephen but even though I hammered on the door he couldn't hear me so I gave up and left lol.
Next we went to Sainsburys to eat (yes cheapskates I know)

Then we went to Abbotswick to visit the Sisters, one of them was busy and one was in Poland so that didn't go to plan, but we meet one of the new people, who's name is Scott he told me about the vocations meetings in Westminster Cathedral which I will be attending on 26th Feb.

Its The Weekend "Dances"

Sooo I only had one lesson yesturday so I really have been having a three day weekend, apart from the fact I still had to get up early Friday. Now the weekend starts as I got to sleep until 10.30am this morning and have been lounging around updating my music since then. Later we will be taking the dog for a walk around some random field (Oh The Joy) and tonight we will be having some kind of unhealthy food for dinner and possibly watch "Borat"

Tomorow we will be going to Mass at 11.ooam although the priest is generally late so more like 11.15am :D (sadly the Mass I am attending will not be like this, I wish it was but Mass is still beautiful so im happy anyway)

After Mass we will be visiting Abbotswick House of prayer to visit the Sisters and to offer my tidying services at the Final Proffesion Of Vows of one the the Sisters in April.

Church News, Lamb Blessings

Vatican City, Jan 21, 2010 / 10:44 am (CNA).- Today Pope Benedict celebrated the feast of the martyr St. Agnes by blessing a group of lambs in the Urban VIII Chapel of the Vatican Apostolic Palace. Every year on January 21, the Pope blesses a group of lambs which are traditionally less than a year old. The lambs are raised by the Trappist Fathers of the Abbey of Three Fountains in Rome. They are then sheared, and the wool is woven into palliums by the Sisters of St. Cecilia. The palliums will be given to the new metropolitan archbishops on June 29, the solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul. Each pallium is comprised of two hanging pieces, front and back. They are worn by the Pope and by the archbishops as a symbol of their apostolic authority and of the special bond between bishops and the Roman Pontiff. The lambs themselves are a symbol of Purity. The lamb is also a symbol of St. Agnes, a young Roman virgin who dedicated herself to Christ. She chose the martyr’s death over breaking that vow of purity to God by marrying the governor’s son. She was between 12 and 13 years-old when she was executed for her refusal. Her body resides in the basilica named for her, which is located on Rome’s Via Nomentana.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - An Alaska man who hit a Taco Bell manager in the face with a double-decker taco has been sentenced to one day in jail and one year probation.
Warren Strickland of Fairbanks must also pay a $100 fine after pleading guilty Tuesday to disorderly conduct.
The 31-year-old says he threw the taco because it contained spit after he went through the drive-thru twice because the restaurant messed up his order. He claims the manager accused him of lying to get free food.
Strickland is barred from Taco Bell during his year of probation.
Taco Bell is owned by Yum! Brands.

My Comings And Goings This Week

This week I decided to post my blog of the strangness of life because of all the strange things I notice everday and this week has been no different!! On Monday college was closed so I got a day off (YAY) we had to be back on Tuesday but on Mondays timetable and just to confuse me more Wednesday was just Wednesday, So what happened to Tuesday? No one knows. Yesturday I went to Mass at Westminster Cathedral,I had to be there at 5.30pm and I was making good time until the train started to go really slowly (probably they knew I would be late and did it to annoy me) when I got off the train I had to run from the station to the Cathedral and LOADS of people were coming from the oppisite direction and would not move. I arrived at the Cathedral at 5.25pm exhausted from running. After Mass I joined in the monthly (I think) Catholic history walk and half way arounf our guide showed us Archbishop Vincent Nichols's house, she only went and knocked on the door didn't she, he didn't answer though (which doesn't surprise me when he saw us lot lol). Thursday I went to college, where nothing special happened and came home to find out that I had to go Jumble Sale leaflet dropping in the cold, Now on this route there are many large and insane dogs, I dearly hope I will have fingrs left to type after tonight.
